Wadi Hassa

Wadi Hasa is, with the single exception of Wadi Mujib, the longest canyon in Jordan. In all, the canyon runs for some 15kms and if you want to do the full length it will have to be in two days. There is a good spot for bivouacking some 10kms from the beginning, but you must be ready to carry all necessary material with you

The one day customized hike takes 3 km water hike and is one of the most thrilling experiences in Jordan a 3 to 4 hours hike that ends in a warm water 6-8 feet deep pool to relax after crossing a lime stone canyon, the big blocks water scramble and the green bamboo fields.


Most people prefer to do the canyon in two separate days. It is easily divided into two: the upper reaches are in a gorge, often narrow and with ample water. No ropes are necessary, but wetsuits definitely are! The lower reaches are no more than an easy and pleasant walk beside - or sometimes in - a stream and among bushes, palm trees and often hanging gardens.


Wadi al Hassa’ s rich nature will give you a magnificent trek if you decided to go all through it !


You can choose the Start off with an enjoyable water slide, and continue through and under boulders and down several other slides, all the time in water which can be cold! Several times you might need to swim. After about two hours you reach Wadi Afra, which is the way to leave Wadi Hasa if you do not want to continue to the bottom.



One Day trip :


In this one you will be provided with life jackets. You will swim in natural pools, jump water cliffs, slid in natural water slides. You will get fully wet. This 3 km water hike is one of the most thrilling experiences in Jordan a 3 to 4 hours hike that ends in a warm water pool to relax after crossing a lime stone canyon, the big blocks water scramble and the green bamboo fields.


Two Days Trip :


 

 

You will be walk 18 km on two days this one will start after the end of the one day trip and end at Ghor Safi it’s a fantastic walk with relaxing views and multiplu hot springs on the way to relax. The night is to be spent next to the river in an area where the nearest city lights is a bit farther than 15km leaving us with the clearest stars.

Requirement and skills:

This hike doesn’t require ropes nor any skill or experiences. Having the water streams will bring you wet feet so you have to be prepared for that .


Bring your hiking shoes, you will carry your water & refreshment in your back pack, or any snacks for the way!

In this one you will be provided with life jackets. You will swim in natural pools, jump water cliffs, glide in natural water slides. You will get fully wet. So be prepared for a change and comfortable suit! Along with a good pair of hiking shoes ! If you choose the two days camping trail we will provide you with sleeping bags and matrices are provided if asked for
